Þjónustu- og þekkingarmiðstöð mun í ágúst bjóða upp á námskeið fyrir fagfólk sem kemur að kennslu nemenda sem lesa punktaletur. Þjónustu- og þekkingarmiðstöð tekur í samvinnu við Háskóla Íslands þátt í stóru verkefni fimm Evrópulanda sem miðar að því að búa til skynjunarbúnað. Miðstöðin fékk Samfélagslampa Blindrafélagsins árið 2014.
